Read more reviewsAt the end of October, Erica, Donald, and many of their closest friends and family came together to tie the knot at Tatum Park. This venue is located in Middletown, New Jersey, a large historic open space featuring 366 acres of rolling hills, wide open fields, and thick, lush, wooded areas. Providing ample space for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and a reception, this space gives you a wonderful backdrop for your special day. Tucked away, this unique venue, with its historic charm, provides you and your loved one ample flexibility for whatever your imagination desires. With a blank space to work with, the sky’s the limit for Tatum Park.
Tatum Park sports a rustic and outdoor theme; the couple opted to play into that while adding pops of color throughout to enhance the feel. The venue received an elegant touch, sporting numerous gold elements from lanterns to votive candles. With standard round tables, the couple opted for a traditional centerpiece with tables featuring either a display of pink, white, and orange flowers or a more elaborate display of tall vases and clear glass candles with a green leafy base. Along the tent, the poles were wrapped in a white sheet and tied with a pink ribbon, tying into the runners on the main tables and buffets. In addition to this, globe lights were strung along the top of the tent, giving a great way to light up the main reception area as the event went later into the night. Moving onto one more element of the note, the couple had a very nice entry sign as their guests walked in. Having large Amble lanterns surrounding the table, they had a sign that stated, “You light up our lives,” which at night became a very beautiful backdrop and feature to have throughout.
This event’s menu featured a simpler breakdown catering to the couple’s tastes and preferences. Starting with the passed hors d’oeuvres for the event, to highlight some of the choices, Erica and Donald opted for Asian Spring Rolls, which feature a Sweet Chili Sauce, our Homemade Rice Balls, and Scallops Wrapped in Bacon. Along with these options, a cold station was set up, which featured three selections of an Antipasto Platter, a Vegetable Platter, and Tomato Bruschetta with our crostini.
Transitioning to the menu for the main reception, Erica and Donald chose a more traditional buffet service. Starting with our International Salad, the buffet featured numerous hot food options, including our famous Penne alla Vodka, Tuscan Chicken, Steak with Pesto Pomodoro, and Shrimp Scampi. These were only some of the choices that created a very large and comprehensive buffet with something for every one of their guests. Finally, the evening culminated with dessert, where the couple and their guests enjoyed a tiered wedding cake. The cake was very elegant and decorated with a unique floral arrangement with a Mr. and Mrs. gold topper.
